In the beginning of Act II of CATS Now and Forever, Filipinos are in for a treat as the first few lines of ‘Moonlight’ (sung in the tone of Memory) are sung in Filipino. The multi-awarded poet, Pete Lacaba translates the opening verse into Filipino which goes as follows:

Liwanag, hanapin ang liwanag Ang iyong ala-ala ang gabay na sundinSa liwanag„ ligaya ay matatagpuan Bagong buhay ay darating

Aussie, Alyse Davies who plays “Sillabub” sings  Lacaba’s the Filipino rendering of the opening verse of ‘Memory’ in Act II.
